At least once a month, members will volunteer to host a discussion evening in their homes. At these events a number of topical issues are discussed in a less formal environment than our main debates. Numbers are limited by how many people the host can accommodate – usually about 8 to 12.

These events are ideal for those who would like to gain some experience of speaking and expressing their views without the challenge of addressing a big meeting.

The host gets to choose the topics they would like to discuss – usually three or four in an evening unlike one of our main debates where there is just one topic for the evening.
